I really loved it, best film I've seen this year so far.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, too. Ewan was terrific, as was Christopher Plummer. Mélanie Laurent is very beautiful and I liked her quirky character in the film. The Jack Russell was absolutely adorable!

I, too, loved this film. It was a terrific use of the cinematic form, to play with time, emotional family patterns, the masks we wear, and yes, the contributions animal companions have to the family dialogue. It was a movie that faced death and dying up front and honestly, and by doing so, allowed us to let the resultant emotions of sadness, rest equitably with all the other emotions humans get to experience. I loved how the movie was able to juxtapose dying and beginnings in such a beautiful light, allowing the very real process of living and learning to weave in and through. Wonderful film.

Loved it too... very different and sad and sweet at the same time.

I wanna see this so bad. But I can't find anywhere in Argentina. It came out supposedly out here, but I can't figure out where. It was probably pushed back )-:

Just read a really favourable review by The Times' Cosmo Landesman and now I want to see it. The poster for the film put me off but as people are writing here it's good and McGregor is particularly good. I really like Melanie Laurent - she stole the show in Inglourious Basterds - and agree with another poster that she is beautiful.

As a straight single guy, at times, I bawled uncontrollably at the growing relationship between the main character and Anna. It was a gorgeous film all around.

I agree this movie is great. It deserves a high 7 or 8 on this site...how anyone could rate it lower than a 7 is beyond my comprehension.
