Arthur- the Cutest Dog in the history of Film?

...hands down
..and I dont even like dogs that much I am a cat person lol :-)

just wanted to say this..especially after the Dog from the film the Artist seems to be picking up so many accolades of late..

the scene near the start of the film when Ewan is showing the dog round his apartment..priceless :-)

anyway...a nice little low key indie film..
I thought the romance between Ewan and Melanie' was very nicely played out particularly..very sweeet

..and Christopher plummer as a man simply 'experiencing life the way he had always wanted to' in his last years... was actually quite touching

I just melted at that series of scenes you mentioned. When Oliver showed Arthur the bathroom, just the way Arthur sat there and looked, it was beyond adorable.

This cat person just adored the little Jack Russell and the relationship with each actor who were truly affectionate with him. I loved the scene in the dog park where Ewan's character tries to get the dog to intreact with his "people" -- other dogs, and then explains to him what his breed was developed for and by whom. Priceless!

I admit it, I adore the Jack Russell Terrier, esp. the last two movie Jacks.

You are so right! Arthur is a wonderful dog and actor, so cute and lovable! I couldn't help thinking of the dog in "The Artist" and there is no comparison between the two characters. I liked the Artist 's dog but I love Arthur. When Evan shows him the house Arthur's face is priceless, he looks so close to a human being, but better and kinder. I was glad all along the movie because they brought Arthur everywhere, all the time, with them! He belonged with them, he was a big part of the story. This dog is the cutest thing I've ever seen on screen since Shiloh ;) or, as you said, this other dog in a movie which name I forgot. Kuddos to Arthur I was delighted to watch him in this great and intelligent movie. Evan and Melanie are a very interesting couple and I loved the dad 's zest for lif his enthusiastic approach of everything, Christopher Plummer is a great actor. Goran V. in the role of Andy was a little miscast but the result was pretty comical, in a good way. I really liked this movie and gave it 7 stars, which is a lot for me...

Excuse my English, it's my second language. Thank you!

If you think a Jack Russell is "the cutest dog in the history of film" you haven't seen many dogs... or films.

🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾
