That movie was just plain awful. It might appeal to a 7 year old who was tired of watching Power Rangers.

I rented from Netflix.

I fail to see how it received the positive reviews as it did. This was a really piss poor film and I have seen tons of poorly made movies.

probably because people knew what they were getting into. When you see Asylum you know it's going to be a cheesy b-film and a rip-off at that.

This movie was absolutely terrific for one reason and one reason only.

After watching this movie, it doesn't matter how badly they screw up the Big Budget version, it will still be miles better than this load of crap.

So this movie should be required viewing for anyone planning on watching JCOM when it comes out. It will help to ease any disappoinment.

OMG, this is a smelly piece of dog crap. Been a big fan of the Rice "MARS" books.
Word down the pipe is the Disney/Pixar version is shaping up to be great.
Meanwhile, you can track down the Marvel books from the 70/80s.
But pass this one up. Worst than the Roger Corman Fantastic Four

I tried to watch this on its Syfy premiere, hoping that it was at least cheesy enough to be enjoyably bad. I didn't even make it past the first commercial break.

I hope that Disney doesn't drop the ball with John Carter of Mars.

The acting is just god awful. Visuals are understandable given the budget limitations, but acting is a different story. Every actor in this "film" gives a horrible perfromance. The tharks, trying to deepen their voices, are the worst.
