"I am 16 Forever"

No matter what you think of this movie, hate or love it. The 16 forever monologue is haunting. It's one of my favorite performances ever. The way Jordan directed it, the stillness of it all...I adore it. The look in Saoirse's eyes when she delivers it, I can't look away. It's simply a breathtaking scene.

Yes, just finished watching it now, solid vampire movie, definitely a rare breed in this times of crap like Vampire diaries and Twilight.

Juliet Parrish: You can't win a war if you're extinct!

reply

Agreed! That was actually my favourite moment in the film, it was truly haunting the way she described it

Very similar to Let The Right One In. (Not the US remake, but the original Swedish version).

Yes I whole-heartedly agree. I think the movie is quite flawed, but Saoirse Ronan is perfectly cast as a vampire, with those unusually striking set of eyes. For me, she dominates the movie, which is most interesting when her character is involved and that was the best overall scene.🐭

Yes, I think Ronan was great in this film. You can really feel her sadness that she'll never grow up. She'll look like a waif forever.

Then we have Arterton exulting in her own looks and its understandable why there is so much antipathy between them.

There is a large amount of jealousy that Eleanor has towards Clara.

She was simply brilliant. This movie moved me to tears and that rarely happens with horror flicks in my case. Everyone was amazing but Saoirse was so intense...
