Yeah, I saw all three by discovering them at my local library. I thought I wouldn't like the style of the production because they came out in the 80's but was so surprised. I love the chemistry between the two and wish there were more in the series with these actors.

Grrrrrr!!Aaargh!!

I love this series - it is one of my absolute all time favourite DVD sets - one I'd take to a desert island. Edward Petherbridge as Peter is just right, and Harriet Walter as Harriet Vane is perfect - you are right, there is certainly a chemistry between these two. Like you I really wish that they had made more Peter Wimsey stories featuring these two. Of the three stories in the set I think my favourite is the first one, 'Strong Poison' - love those seance scenes with Peter's secretary!lol.

I agree this series is great ! D.L. Sayers was an incredible writer.

I wish they'd made Busman's Honeymoon with Walters and Petherbridge.

Btw, if anyone reading this likes Anne Perry I'm trying to get some talk going concerning her many great books on the Cater Street Hangman page so please come join me : )

Has anyone ever seen the Ian Carmichael version? How do they compare?
