That's just bizarre. . .


I just thought the assumption that Paul Alexis committed suicide was bizarre. I mean, who commits suicide by cutting their own throat? I couldn't understand why they would even believe that or think of that. If he had the razor and intended to kill himself, wouldn't he have slashed his wrists? I've never heard of anyone committing suicide in that fashion.

Slashing of the wrists can take some time to die. In fact that's one of the reasons why some choose to sit in a hot bath while doing so, in order to hasten their deaths. You can also choose to slash the veins lengthwise instead of across the wrists for that same reason.

On the other hand, slashing one's carotid arteries is a far quicker death and is a somewhat more common choice for suicide for that very reason.
