Recently got into AA, and I see the influence

After watching this, I wonder if Will Ferrell is an alcoholic. Whoever wrote this definitely has experience with AA.

This whole movie is really faithful to the reality of what alcoholism is like. The funny thing is, the first time I saw this, I wasn't an alcoholic, or at least I didn't know I was. Now, I relate to it on a totally different level. It's a much more truthful, insightful film, knowing what I know about alcoholism, and AA.

It's a great movie, though one gripe I have is he wouldn't be drinking PBR (I understand product placement is sometimes a necessary evil) he'd be drinking cheap whisky or vodka. A $6 six pack would last him a few hours, but a $6 bottle of vodka would last him all day.

You don't know what you're talking about. I'm an alcoholic and I drink tons of beer daily. Sure, I've had my whiskey experiences, but all I drink now is beer. You thankfully don't have this problem so you don't understand.

Do you read Sutter Cane?

I love this remark. Yes, whoever wrote this did have some experience. His name was Ramond Carver and he's like the most renowned "drunk author" of his time.
