Alaska Wildlife Troopers - pink gun?

In what must be a one-off or test to see if the wildlife troopers from this show could have their own they show a wildlife trooper taking his girls to shoot and teach gun safety. The youngest is sitting in his lap in the car afterward, and he asks if she wants a pink rifle, a really girly pink rifle. She says yes then you can see th thought come to her that she wants a pink camouflage rifle. Dad says no to that, though. If a pink rifle is okay what's wrong with pink cammo?
