Dawning seemed promising at first, but it turned into "Ordinary People". Kind if ridiculous, unchilling dialogue as horror supposedly lurks outside. Not really the horror movie it started out to be.

What was up with that shoebox under the bed? Just a hiding place for his booze??
There seemed to be odd photos, but I guess I was wrong.
The parents seemed really odd from the start, as did the whole family eventually.
The way they kept zooming in on the intruder and then the son, I thought for sure that they were going to reveal that they were brothers.
But again, I was wrong.
Like another poster mentioned, it all well & fine to keep evil vague...but it takes the correct kind of story to be able to pull that off. And this film did not do it.
What a real shame, it had terrific potential.
