It would not have taken much to make this film better. *spoiler*

This film had great promise, and was rather good until the last 1/4.
Since the story seems to be a simple premise (evil that makes people do evil), why not just add a few lines?
Like the dad saying to his son in the clearing "This evil...its always been here.
I've felt it, I fought it as long as I could. Forgive me..."

Or since all the family members seemed to return...the woman sees them outside the window (!) looking at her...how about them finding some articles about other mysterious massacres in the cabin or area?
