Black and white?!? Are you kidding me?!?

There is no reason for this to be in black and white, no movie made in the 21st century should ever be in black and white. What an @$$hole. Looks like the director didn't have the b@lls to film this in color. Plus the villian is a tired cliche(you know, fat ugly guy that lives with his mom) F you, Tom Six.

This movie is trash and would be no better in color. Your overall point about movies in the 21st-century is ridiculous though. They have been able to make movies in color since the 1930s, but some of the greatest black and white films were made well after that. For example: Dr. Strangelove in the 1960s.

Well, by the end of the 30s but Technicolor was too expensive so after making Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind, they put the technology aside until the mid 50s.

Why?

Just think about the ass shots being cut open. Remember Quentin Tarantino filmed kill bill in bw

Black and white doesn't mean 'instant *beep* film' (even though this film wasn't exactly on my Top 10 list).

I like it as an artistic choice; it added to the dark/gritty atmosphere of the film.

While I disagree with the statement that no film made in the 21st century should be made in B&W, I do agree that the lack of colour in this film did nothing positive for the experience.

reply

It did nothing for this film bar give it a more miserable air than it already had.

I think Six looked at the stuff he'd filmed and thought it looked *beep* in colour...so was FORCED to mute the colour...it was unlikely to be an artistic choice as Six is obviously crap.

Just the idea behind these films debases the whole of humanity...it's not that this is some on the edge risky ground-breaking stuff, that's not why this hasn't been done before...it's cause it's a really crappy idea thought up by a degenerate...I can just see Six getting back to his trailer after a long shoot...watching the daily's and getting off on it...also getting off on the fact he's essentially force feeding the world his warm faeces.

Why else make this?

i liked it more in black and white,
it gave some special vibe, honour to old classic movies - that will never be filmed again without explicit sex ans violence in modern films - and it was more easier to watch the blood scenes

You are commenting without even knowing the reason behind it.

He had to make it black or white, just so he could distribute it in theaters. Additionally, I would believe Tom Six did it to be cheaper as his first movie made a few hundred thousand off $1.5 million Euro budget.

It was mostly because it had to make it through UK's production companies.

Reminder: The O.C. resets to its first episode on POP network April 1 @ 2 p.m. EST
