Can someone explain to me why this only has a 3.9?

It's well made, it has a great villain, it's disturbing, creepy, gory and even funny in parts, why does it have such a low rating? Is it another case of "this movie that is supposed to disturb, shock and digust disturbed, shocked and disgusted me so it's a piece of sh!t"?

CG GORE IS THE WORST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO THE HORROR GENRE!

Bump.

Because the majority of people disagree with all those things, that should be pretty obvious.
If you want my opinion, it's terrible because it has no plot whatsoever, terrible acting, is extremely pretentious when it has no reason to be and exists for not other reason than to stroke Tom Six's ego boner.

Yippee Ki-Yay!

reply

Because its sh*t.

reply

Because it isn't well made, has a boring villain, isn't disturbing or creepy and wasn't funny.

Look, from a film-making perspective, it's a bad movie. Badly written. Badly directed. Badly staged. Badly filmed. Badly acted. Bad SFX. Bad VFX. Bad sound.

It's objectively a bad movie.

you can't be serious. this was the first movie in.... ten years??? that left me totally astonished and shocked as to its beauty.
i think it is really one of the most aesthetic movies in the last decade.
every shot (lol almost wrote *beep* is perfect, it is a work of art.
it just FEELS beautiful, especially in contrast to the (obviously overly provocating) content. but the imagery itself is so stunningly beautiful and the shots just capture that exact feeling that make this move so (imo) extremely beautiful.

The first Human Centipede was unique, had a good villain, and had great cinematography. This one just fell flat, in my opinion. It came off more as a comedy. While some parts were gross, it never managed to fully shock or disgust. The acting was subpar and having the villain be all silent while everyone explains his actions and motives was just annoying. I couldn't possibly rate this anything higher than a four.

Can I trade in the children for more cash?

reply

Because it's awful...one of the very first films I've HAD to switch off and yes I suppose that means my opinion is 'invalid' or whatever...I watched an hour...that was quite enough for me.

Congratulations Tom Six, you found my limit...I've seen A Serbian Film to it's conclusion as well.

Simply the most repellent film ever made, redeeming qualities involve the look of it...but most films like this look better in monochrome anyway...and the ending...which I've heard makes it look like it was all in his head, which is a kind of nice cop out after that hell.

reply

Because it is literally and figuratively a sh!tshow.

I'm a big fan of creepy and disturbing movies, but this one is neither and is terrible. It spent the first hour being horribly pretentious and then it was gross for a while. The villain was terrible also. Very 2 dimensional and forced. Everything in this was done for shock value, nothing psychological at all.

You could tell this was a remake for the fans. Look at the IMDb message board for the first one and most of what they said was included in this one.

Reminder: The O.C. resets to its first episode on POP network April 1 @ 2 p.m. EST
