Stupid Girl.....

I wanted to bitch slap her everytime I saw her face on screen. How dumb can she be? There was nothing disturbing about this movie other than how disturbingly dumb this girl was throughout the movie. It was not realistic at all. She was incredibly naive and gullible to think she was special and that she can trust anybody on the internet, lol. The story was totally ludicrous! And yes I know this *beep* happens in real life, but I dont buy the idiocy of this girl at all.

reply

Its still rape.

Live tonight on !action news! Internet user illimattic was butt raped by a 57-year-old dude that he met at chuck e cheese. Supposedly, the predator lured illimattic with pepperoni and chewing gum. "Well," said illimatic in an exclusive interview with !action news!, "I just never thought it could happen to me. I met him on the internet and he seemed real nice. I was a little surprised that he was this old, fat, white dude instead of the pretty 18-year-old girl he claimed to be, but then he seemed so nice and I knew I was too smart to fall for a trick."

"I still think that other people who fall for this our stupid," said illimatic, while rubbing his sore butt.

reply

I am sorry but speaking as a victim of rape, I have to agree that Annie just pissed me off every time she was on screen after she started defending him.

The "Annie" character is stupendously idiotic; the epitome of imbecility and self-absorption. She, in no way, represents a realistic teenager or rape victim. Sorry, but teen girls are nothing like Annie; she is worse than a soap-opera character. i find this film offensive to teen girls and to rape victims. And yes, I wanted to do more than just slap this character. "He said I was special," "he said I was beautiful," "My life is ruined," what kind of dialogue is that? Horribly cliched stereotypes which contribute to raising an astoundingly shallow, cartoon-like character.

I don't want realism. I want magic!

Don't forget then she found out that Charlie had done the same things with another girl, she called that girl a sl*t.

Wtf!

Near the end I think. In one scene she got, so to speak, "enlightened" of what had happened to her

reply

[deleted]

Well, she said something like that some time during the movie. I won't willingly re-watch it again.

reply

[deleted]

Yes, she was. She was mad at one of the victims whose picture was shown for her.

The Youtube version is 100 minutes long, the original version is 106 minutes long.

I know what I saw, man. And I won't re-watch it for a long, long time.

reply

I just re-watch the movie (106 mins) and she never said that.
The close to that was she saying to the therapyst "They were not even pretty".

reply

Does a nervous breakdown follow by those words? That could be the scene and even if she didn't say it, you know what she meant. I even think that the subtitles pointed that out, but they could be wrong.

reply

[deleted]

That must be it, then.

I agree with everything said in these posts. At the start of the movie Annie was a happy well adjusted teen and Charlie changed that. She annoyed me because she kept sticking up for Charlie and making out like her dad was the bad guy. If I were her parents I would have taken her phone and computer away from her.
