Seriously, just looking through comments to this movie made me sick.

"DURRR, LOSE END, WHAT HAPPEN TO RAPIST?!? :<"
"LOLOLO, THAT GUY THAT FINDS 19 YEAR OLDZ ATTRACTIVE IS TOTES PEDO!"
"GRRRR, RAPISTS SHOULD BE KILLED, THIS IS TOTALLY RELEVANT TO THIS MOVIE AND NOT ANOTHER POINTLESS, EMOTIONALLY SOAKED PSEUDO-ARGUMENT THAT SHOULD BE POSTED ON FACEBOOK OR TWITTER, NOT HERE"
"HUUUUUUH? WHY WANS'T RAPER CAUGHT?!?!?!?!?! THEY WERE SO CLOSE TO HIM ALL MOVIE, EVEN THOUGH THE FBI-MAN TELLS DAD-MAN THAT RAPER-MAN HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS, BUT I GUESS I WANTED A HAPPY ENDING, NOT SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE AND I NEED TO JUSTIFY IT SOMEHOW...."

You people seriously expected cheesy Hollywood ending from this thing? From goddamn first minute it was plain to see this won't be the case here. The movie's composition is unique, it touches upon unorthodox and rare problems of rape, such as the victim defending the rapist or being more focus on getting justice instead of comforting the rape victim, it had 2 main characters which shared the screen time beautifully...

It was a great, unique movie vast majority of you failed to appreciate or fully understand. Next time, go watch some popcorn flick, since this movie clearly wasn't for you.

The vast majority apparently did understand it, given the film's pretty decent rating, and were able to appreciate the issues that usually are untouched by the standard brainless revenge films that deal with the subject of rape. I'm sorry you had to reproduce the rant above, which made me think those were YOUR words instead of a quote.

But then notice how in films like Hard Candy or any of the I Spit on Your Grave movies (adult women victims, sure, but still), the perpetrators often DO meet their comeuppance and although it still doesn't change totally what happened of course, at least there's a sense of relief and catharsis that the nasty bastards have been dealt with and at least they won't hurt others anymore.
