Can anybody give a clue as to the location of the town, salon, Maddy's house?

Salvadori said last night that it was in the south of France, but I don't think he gave the name.

Beautiful!

The movie is very week as story as it's all built on this misunderstanding...I think it's better story for a play thann a movie....forced...

Thanks, I've been able to discover the movie is actually set in a town called Sete - about 35 kms SW of Montpellier.
+ yes it does look beautiful by the canal.

Yes, it's Sète (confirmed in a recent interview with Nathalie).
