I really liked this movie

It captured my attention and I just had to know what was going on. It didn't let me down, although sometimes it had me wondering. I wasn't particularly fond of the musical score, but I guess it did fill the need. I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't always feel the need to have their sci/fi action packed and juvenile.

Don't judge me by my past. I don't live there anymore.

I also really liked this film. A dialogue-driven Sci-Fi that is very effective. I can't believe it only has 4.8 stars WTF. BTW, if you can't find anything to watch on Netflix...The Penitent Man is on there.

i would first like to say its good to see a director interacting with fans of their work on the boards here, regardless of some of the hateful things that can be said so easily by someone hiding behind a keyboard. All that aside here is my honest review of your movie.

Lance as usual has great presence onscreen and the dialoge between himselves..lol was well written. Th subject matter is interesting and works so well because it feels plausible. I can see a cult following that could build for your film much like [The Quiet Earth] which if anyone reading this hasn't seen please do so it is fantastic. Anytime a film is so dialogue driven the writing and 1vs1 acting on screen are vital and here is where my one critique would be. Please understand I really enjoyed your film and just rewatched it with a group of 10 friends the other day. So back to my one problem with the actors, great choice casting Lance but in my opinion his screen presence slightly overpowered the other actors involved.
Overall I would give you film a 7-7.5 well done and I will be looking forward to your next film

Thanks for the review :). And I completely agree with you. I'm always my own worst critic, and it is hard to deny the difference in presence between a veteran like Lance with some of the more inexperienced actors. At the time, limited by budget, we were forced to hire talent local to the shoot to fill the remaining roles in the film outside of Darnell and Ovid. Additionally, finding someone who could not only deliver a good performance while retaining physical traits similar to Lance was an even more difficult task with the limited casting pool. In retrospect, we should have widened our search to include actors from New York and Los Angeles, but I'm nevertheless proud of what this little movie has done for my career, regardless of its flaws.

And I have to tell you how much it means to me as a young filmmaker that you watched the film with 10 friends. It tells me I might be on the right path. Thank you :)

Just finally found this on iTunes. Thoroughly engrossing film that asks more questions than it gives answers.

Maybe the ultimate question of life is not "what if?" but "why?". If only we find meaning in our lives...

Some of the story, especially what his wife does at the end, was predictable and yet natural. Maybe, as was suggested in one of the sessions, time is resistant to change? (Vague, I know, so only those who've watched it will understand my drift.)

Good film. Thanks to all involved.
