Fun little film and I'm no shill!

This and "The Man From Earth" were my two favorite films I've seen in recent years because they were simple little films that required little more than characters talking but both held my interest and were highly entertaining. The Penitent Man wasn't as original as The Man From Earth but it was similar in that both were very low budget yet were more entertaining than most 100 mill films. I found it far more entertaining than Primer which everyone raved about. I didn't pay enough attention to Primer in the middle part I guess or their script was a chaotic mess, not sure which. It became impossible to follow what was supposed to be going on. Primer tried too hard to be clever and simply got chaotic and annoying. I might like is better on a second viewing but I'd give it a 3 and I gave The Penitent Man a 9. It may be a bit high but I'm putting a high value on entertaining films. They are quite rare.
