Would have been better

If they had dealt with the very real fact that Sarah would have A) suffered a miscarriage or B) her baby would have had some sort handicap.
At the end they made it out like her life just worked out fine and everything was perfect.
I just wish they would have touched on the issue that not every baby comes out perfect.

There was no pregnancy pact-but my daughter and two of her friends all ended up having HEALTHY babies within a year of each other. Three months after the last one was born, strep bacteria got into his brain. After a very long coma, the now seven month old-in hospital today-is blind, forgot how to suck, has a tube in his belly to feed him, is on three seizure medications, may be deaf, has fluid on his brain, has a swollen brain which enlarged his skull, is brain damaged, has had a nonstop fever for weeks, can't speak, cannot move his head, cannot roll over or lay on his belly, cries in pain... the kids getting pregnant aren't old enough to make smart decisions and something makes them think this baby will fix everything, but this mom not only dropped out of high school, she can't have a job if she wanted one, as she's lived in the hospital nearly four months now. And the baby isn't covered on her parent's insurance nor can the baby's dad-a teen struggling to finish high school provide insurance, much less food or even gas to get to and from specialists when they leave the hospital for a rare amount of time.
