Did anyone else feel sorry for Ramses?

His wasn't really a bad guy. He just had a crappy job.

Also his seemed really human and felt betrayed by his brother.

Nah, but it seemed like he felt sorry for himself at the end, when he realizes what a complete butt-for-a-dick he is.

There were 11 Pharoahs name Rameses (spelling varies). None drowned.

The Ramses de Mille nominated was Rameses II, aka Rameses the Great. The real Rameses the Great lived to be 90.

True. We can see them in the Afar people, of Ethiopia. They sport the same haircuts and have same dolicephalic features - long skulls. Other than being black, they look just like many Europeans - that's because many other Europeans are brachycephalic - broad skulls.
The Afar people look nothing like the Hollywood stereotype of the black people of Africa.

also, in Hebrew, Adam is made from dust (avar) and returns to ashes (afar).

Yes, for not being portrayed by Yul Brynner. Joel Edgerton is not in any way as exotic looking as the role requires.
