The ending made me cry a lot

It was amazing.

I was absolutely in love with the film at that point, and just did not see that coming. Such a beautiful, beautiful moment; I bawled.

Just watched the movie myself. About an hour in, I liked the movie a lot, but didn't think it was great or anything. But the last half was pretty fantastic, with some badass setpieces as the hero tried to track down the little girl, maiming and/or killing everyone in his path. Some truly cool moments such as the leap through the window, the explosion set-up in the warehouse, and the climactic knife battle. All badass.

Then came the scene where they were finally reunited in the garage. When the little girl ran to him and hugged him, I burst into tears. Very powerful emotional moment. I can safely say that while this was not a very original film, it was indeed a great one.

Lol, ya, I think this is the most I cried during an action movie. I cried when the little girl was telling him he was the meanest to her but she couldn't hate him because them she wouldn't like anybody... Then she said the thought of it hurts her in her heart, gaaah! Seriously how did she just randomly appear in the garage?? My only explanation would be that the Vietcong guy actually put her there after taking the surgeons eyes because he predicted that Tae would beat him and ultimately end up in the garage lol.

um yeah, I just finished this movie about 5 minutes ago and was surprised at how emotional it made me. up til the near-suicide, I was just thinking this was a hella good action film. then when he was about to commit suicide, i found myself screaming at the screen b/c I was legitimately unsure of which way the ending would go. I was crying so hard when they were reunited!

The ending was predictable, totally manipulative...and I loved it. And yeah, I teared up a bit.

I think this movie was made for male audiences. not saying a female wouldn't cry at the ending, but it's really obviously geared to evoke a emotional response from a man. there's just something about any story of a man who protects or saves a helpless alone little girl daughter figure that men respond to. not saying this in a creepy way, you know what I mean.

In the "making of" the director said he wanted to have some "humanity" in it.

So, a lot of "action movie" stuff, but it ultimately meant something as well.

The relationship between the man and the girl. And, also the hero going after "organ harvesters"?
