Do you really believe they are the ghost of people who have passed or something else? Where do you think they came from? Why do they exist? What's their purpose?

i am not dismissing everybodys encounters with the spirit world as being obsurd,i am suggesting that maybe there is somethings out there that we still cannot explain.
this is not connected to the spirit world in any way.
we ourselves make up our own minds on what we see,& if we see it we believe it.we being the intelligent members.
to say an afterlife does not exist questions the existence of a soul,which also conflicts with the existence of religion,god & heaven.things that we have believed in since the dawn of time.these things control our behaviour,gives us the belief that if we do something good or bad,it will effect us in another life.people need this comfort that their loved ones are forever,eternally at peace.
although they can recognise signs & feel emotions to encounters,other people witnessing the same occurrence will not have the same experiences.
but we cannot dismiss ourselves as being an active part of the phenomenom.
