disturbing message (spoilers)

Enjoyable movie, but I am always dismayed by scripts written these days about women giving up great job opportunities in the city because somehow it's better in the country, and small town people are supposedly so much nicer. People everywhere are without work, and would give their eye teeth for the kind of jobs these women turn down, not to mention that it's a blow against women's advancement in the workplace. I'm aware of the romance angle--but maybe he could have moved?

that makes sense. what i have some quibble about: is the movie anti-pruit pumpkins?

Just put it on the Underhill's tab.

I think Pruitt could have grown a bigger pumpkin.

Get busy livin..... or die tryin - Morgan Freeman, "The Shawshank Redemption"

he's a legend in the pumpkin business.

I don't see it that way. Besides, I would be dismayed at any woman, or man for that matter - that would use these lighthearted, romance movies as a go to handbook for serious life decisions.

Anyhow, I see the message much differently.

Perspective, I suppose.
