Things that bothered me about the movie

1Cruise ship cabins are not that big and luxurious

2There were no old people on this cruise

3Wouldn't the Hungarians be speaking Hungarian all the time? Especially when arguing with e/o so no one would know what they were talking about.

Anyone care to add to this?

**SPOILER** BIGGEST flaw in the entire movie is the video camera. We see the video camera fall out of Lindsey's cabin, later it's found in one of the life boats. This really bugs me cause when they show the ledge after Trevor went missing there's no life boats there and they would never have life boats that low anyway so it's impossible for the crew to find the camera. It would've fallen into the ocean and sunk. BIGGEST flaw in the movie and it ruined the ending!

Wife and I have been on four cruises, always with a balcony, which never had lifeboats below. You're right, that one slid right by me.

One thing I noticed on our cruises - the TVs always had a channel that showed the ship's security camera shots of the side of the ship, so if anybody went over the side, there was a record of it - as well as an instant (hopefully) "Man Overboard" alarm. The thing is, the victim is either knocked out from the fall from such a height or they are sucked into the screws and turned into chum. Either case, survival chances are minimum.

BTW, does anybody know what ship was used for the overviews? I'm thinking the Norwegian line as it didn't look like it belonged to any of the three lines we cruised on.

When George Smith went over there was no video.

Look at the thread I just made http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1526585/board/nest/199305156 I'm sure that's the one.

The first site is Danish and translated into English, the second site is Swedish.

I only answering about the cruise ship. Usually a Norwegian ship has painting on the bow or front. I think this was a Princess ship because of the glass covered section that runs across the ship when viewed from the front. Neither line would want to be identified because of the incident sited at sea. I've cruised a lot and that's only my opinion as to what Cruise Line is being used for external shots.

4. at the beginning of the investigation, they spoke to the Hungarians together, instead of separately. this wouldn't happen in most investigations. this would have give them an opportunity to see if their stories matched.

5. when the fbi agent compared her divorce to a woman who lost her husband in more of a tragic way. she would have been better off saying, "although I can't know how you feel...". of course the character didn't care because the writers didn't. but it was inappropriate.

I haven't seen the rest of the movie yet, but I'm sure there will be something else.

one of the many things about this movie that bugged me what when Lindsay 'promised' a girl she just met that she wouldn't tell anyone that she was raped by the men that she was blaming for her husbands death/missing-ness....who does that?

I also agree with the above poster about when the FBI agent compared her husband emailing a breakup to her to Lindsay's husband being missing at sea.

Re "no old people on the cruise." I think there are some cruise companies who specialise in holidays for certain age groups. The 20s or 30s something parties or ones for retired people etc.
