Episode: Op til kamp

I rarely (read: never) watch an episode of a TV series and feel the urge to log on and talk about how good it was. But now I do. I watched the aforementioned episode of Borgen yesterday and

I have to say that Lars Brygmann's acting when he is confronted by the news editor on the bridge is absolutely magnificent. He's a kiniving, backstabbing ass all through the episode, and when they take pictures of him at the hotel room, you feel that he is getting what's coming to him. But when he is confronted with them on the bridge, going from arrogant to utterly dumbstruck, his acting made me almost feel what it would have felt like to have your entire life come crushing down around you. I almost felt ashamed for wanting his downfall, and I am glad the scriptwriter chose to assume people would feel like this and handled his death with respect later on (ie no news report about his affair etc).

I only saw parts of season 1 of Borgen, but I want to see more of Lars Brygmann acting, so hopefully I can buy season 1 on DVDs. And maybe try to find other things he's done.

You should watch him in "The Inheritance" (Arven).

Yes, he was great. It's a pitty the character died - he was very interesting.
