Season 3

I finished watching the whole series for the first time. The third season doesn't get a lot of good press but I like it. Kasper doesn't appear a lot in the series and the personal lives of the characters appear a lot more where it becomes almost like a soap but I like how the political part goes in a different direction. I'm not going to go too much into it as I don't want to post spoilers incase you do want to watch it.

The only thing I did really like about the third series as opposed to the first two season was how the woman politicians where presented. I know that there is a glass ceiling for woman in todays society regardless of what people say and that those woman who try to break above it are in for a really tough time but I felt at times in the first two series that the male politicians were portrayed as the worst of the feminist cliches. I don't doubt that these types exist and are alive in kicking but I felt it went just too much there and the female politicians were giving an easy ride especially Pernille who was a nasty bit of stuff. However, season 3 did show some of the female politicians in as much a bad light as their male counterparts which made it feel different and refreshing in that way than the previous two.

Season 3 seemed a bit preachy at times, particularly the episode on prostitution, as if the show were more interested in making political points than presenting challenges for the characters or telling a good story.
