If events keep changing the future how come her life is so similar to the original one? Why does she still marry Steven? Someone who had gone through such life altering events as severe burns might have been attracted to someone else. Maybe her ass of a husband wouldn't find her attractive. Why would John's parents not move? Heck, why does she still have the same hairstyle and fashion sense. Surely tiny things would have changed.
