I'm freaking excited about the movie. They picked the perfect cast to play all the characters, there's no need for a Hollywood remake. Hope it'll open the world's eyes on those talented Japanese actors and actresses through this movie.
You think Hollywood really cares about other properties that aren't theirs or of theirs? Sure there will be a remake because Hollywood doesn't have common sense. Can't leave well enough alone with films that had no problems with originally,take the J-Horror movies,they were remade and I feel strayed from the source material due to cultural differences,was The Ring really the remake of Ringu considering the story lines varried from each other. I know that manga and anime will very with the properties story/stories from one media to the other-such as the Gantz manga and the Gants anime,that is nothing new. Just hope that the transition from anime to live action is better than the craptacular re-envisioned/Reboot/retool of our beloved anime/manga stories be it Gantz,Mighty Atom,Harlock,Yamato,Macross..Etc. Hollywood HAS NO REAL RESPECT FOR OTHER PROPERTIES.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. and always remember where ever you go-there you are.
