Um why is this film so highly rated

This film is one of the most painful films I've watched EVER in a long time thanks to IMDB's rating...

Let's see, why does just running around and standing around like idiots? The guns as far as I see has no charge time, so I don't get why people just don't pull the trigger even if their life is at stake.

Then there's the dialogue, sure why do people "sit around" in moments before dying chatting when there's still a killer freak on the loose patiently waiting in the background waiting for them to part ways...

I mean seriously is the film trying to depict how intelligently challenged people can be?

I guess I'll stick with american comic films....

So the question is why is this film so highly rated?
