caucasian extra in train carriage fight scene

Strange question, but did anyone notice a white guy in a fight scene inside a train carriage in this movie? I spent a 17-hour day as an extra on this film and want to know if I get any face time... ^^'

cheers.

You'd be better off asking when part 2 comes out, which is where that scene is.

that's cool. i didn't notice any gaijin in the trailer. did they splashed blood all over you?

reply

Yeah, I wasn't exactly drenched in the stuff, but I think I made for a fairly passable corpse. Unless they cut me out... In the trailer my head is blocked by the four suit wearing folk raising their guns. If you know what you're looking for you can just about make out the brown of the jacket I was wearing. Hopefully in the actual film I'll be able to see myself!

Anyway, thanks for your replies. It's been 9 months already, so I guess I just have to wait a bit longer...

i think i know which trailer but did you mean the Gantz body suit wearing folks or the bad(?) guys in black suits plus a girl in school uniform?
I'll keep a look out for you in the second film. Are you in Japan right now? The movie will be released in a few days. Maybe they'll show a longer part2 trailer with more of you in it.

Sorry for all the questions but you were really lucky to get a part in it, plus, just a few feet away from the stars! I think your scene involves all the leads right? Hope to hear more of your behind the scenes tid-bits, especially when it involves the pocket-size star, Ninomiya.

I was behind/next to the aliens(?) in suits. I think I was the closest geographically to Matuyama Ken, but he totally blocked me from the long/wide shot. >:(
This was back in March last year, so I'm back in my native England now.
I also had to stay deathly still looking the wrong way while they had a big fight in the middle of the carriage, so it'll be interesting to see what was going on there...
We weren't allowed to speak to the talent except to say "good morning", and the girl in the black suit said hello to me in English, and somebody else chatted with the extra opposite me (an older gentleman who does get trailer time).
Anyway, it was fun. Though being an extra is a harder job than you might think when there's fake glass throwing everywhere and you're not allowed to wince.
It was meant to be 3 days, then 5, then it turned out they had all they needed from us after the first day. If only it'd have been a 5 day shoot it might have been my big break in Japanese film... w
I never did get paid though... it might have been a pretty penny. :p
