People seem to run to new movies and review them and give them high scores and others get mad and give it low scores without actually watching the movie.
This movie is about a 6/10, nothing amazing, but nothing horrible either. A 4.8 usually means the movie is trash, and avoid it at all costs. But like I said this movie isn't bad. I encourage you to sit through the whole film before judging it.
Totally agree with you. Just watched this last night with my wife with knowing absolutely nothing about it. Kept my interest, but not the best movie. Seemed more original than most of the crap out now. For some reason I kept thinking of Donnie Darko when watching this. Same feel, even though the stories are nothing alike. I think it's worth a viewing, and decide for yourself. Surprised there isn't more discussion about it. Thinking that many people just haven't seen it.
shareI absolutely agree. I don't understand the rating. It's not a bad movie. Not a cinematic marvel or anything, but it holds its own and was really interesting. I actually kind of liked it. I was supposed to use it as background noise while working and ended up not getting anything done.
sharejust caught it on netflix tonight and I was pleasantly suprised. Classic story of two people that really love each other but for a terrible reason will always be apart. Also liked the psychologically factual excuse as the reason. Very fresh imo.

4.8 = 5 isn't bad. Pretty average, by definition. IMDB has a tough curve.
Movie was sweet, just had too many loose ends. Like, were they actually causing the problems? Not clear.
