I actually cried!!!

Two scenes made me tear up. The first one was when Maria del Rosario was talking to Clemencia and telling her that she has suffered a lot. Imagine being told that your newborn son is dead, getting drugged and when next you wake up you're a prisoner.

The other scene was when Noel was about to leave Juan's cell and Juan throws his arms around him. That killed me. The music playing during both these scenes makes them all the more touching.

I am wondering now whether Maria del Rosario will survive (vs the death of Blancaflor in Yo Compro esa Mujer). She will have to live at least long enough for Rodrigo to recognize her again (and probably kill Leonarda for what she did to her).

Stock up on the Kleenex for when she and Juan see each other next.

oh goodness I'm so glad I watched that episode alone, because i did cry! it was so sad. I loved that Juan was reduced to the lost little boy crying for his mother even though he's a grown man. it was a great scene by both actors.

Did you see Yo Compro Esa Mujer back in the day? The equivalent scene was just as intense, but much shorter.

At first I wasn't too moved by the scene where mother and son reunite. However, when Maria del Rosario showed him her birthmark and he started crying like a little boy, it killed me. I cried so hard I got a headache.

Venus, you have a very good memory. I saw Yo compro esa mujer about twenty years ago and, while I remember most of the story, I can't recall the details. Did you recently see it? Where?

reply

It was shown in rerun on Galavision in 1996 or so. I taped it and still have the tapes.

I love what happened to Matilde and Rodrigo at the end of that one. Televisa writers love poetic justice.

I do remember what happened to Matilde and Rodrigo at the end...it was great!!! I wish the same would happen to Leonarda and Rodrigo but I doubt it.

reply

Well, you are going to cry at tonight's episode (#118). A powerful, powerful scene.

reply

I thought I was going to be in tears when Maria del Rosario was dying. Surprisingly I wasn't.

reply

I almost cried, but I felt the scene was a little too long.

It was about 7 minutes long. Then, when Juan didn't want to give up his mother's body and everyone was trying to convince him that he needed to bury her, I had to fastforward. That was too much.

reply

That wasn't the first scene of that kind.
