it surprised me

I like lowbudget films a lot and occasionaly i find one thats much better than it should be..
imo the Last Lovecraft is`nt a low grade film, even though the budget might have been low in its own way its a bit of a gem the acting was`nt terrible and the script i found very funny in places the only major faults were the SFXs but but unless you have money to spend their always going to look cheap

Yeah man,

I agree. I loved this movie. I laughed regularly throughout it and I enjoyed that they didn't just fill it with *beep* CG. The tentacles at the end were a little lame but I mean, it's a small time horror comedy, Evil Dead 1&2 was hardly a special effects laden masterpiece either yet they're considered some of the best.

I was surprised as well. I found it to be a consistently funny (not hilarious) and entertaining film. The practical effects were largely better than I would expect for what seems to be a very low-budget film, as well. I gave it a solid B.

Are you guys for real? I can normally enjoy low budget flicks for what they are but this was just trash. It was so boring and the acting was worse than usual, at least from the main 3. Evil Dead should not be mentioned anywhere near the same paragraph as this.

This movie was very funny and can be compared to Evil Dead.

There, I did it. What you gonna do about it?

i have to say i just finished watching this on fearnet and was pleasantly surprised. i wasn't expecting to much to begin with, but i still wasn't expecting it to be as entertaining as it was.

Too freakin' funny! I LMAO!!!

I was not going to watch this, read the reviews and figured i would give it a try. It really is a funny, entertaining film in the Campbell/Burton dead movies. Acting is not all that bad, doesn't take itself too seriously, but still has some genuine horror scenes. Worth a look for sure.

Awesome fun, even if you know nothing of the Cthulhu mythos or lovecraft himself. Not a disappointment at all. Give it a go and decide for yourself. Movies are art and each of us interpret art uniquely and internally. This isn't an infomercial product, you can't just take a strangers word and decide if you'll like it or not. So sit back and prepare to be entertained!!!

That's not saying much. Cthulhu is to Lovecraft as Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 is to Pink Floyd.

I was surprised at how well it looked for a low-budget film. Really enjoyed watching this as it really made me giggle!

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

I found it disappointing and don't get me wrong huge fan of Lovecraft, but this here was just bland, it was awful nor was it amazing it was just eh.

I'd heard of this movie a while back but gave it wide berth because I expected it to be mighty lame... but lo and behold it weren't bad at all... in fact it kept me entertained all the way through.
Sure enough it's bottom budget compared to its ambitions... but I'm thinking that's part of the charm.
The high point for me is Captain Olaf... that whole setup was weird and ridiculous enough to spawn a whole tale on its own.
Hopefully they'll manage to make a sequel someday on the budget they deserve.
