The films problem wasn't writing or acting or even reviews.
It's the fact the films target audience was 2 year olds, who couldn't get to a theater without a parent or guardian to drive them.
Most parents would probably rather put in a dvd then drive to a theater to pay for a movie aimed at babies. (Or take their babies to an R rated film they want to see thinking it will sleep when usually it starts to cry and they have to leave the theater anyways)
Even though I know that kids should be in bed at that time, there is a possibility that the parents work late and that is the only time to go to the store.
Now 2-year-olds in R rated movies is a different animal entirely.
Have any of you been around a two yr old lately? I have 2 cousins that have children a boy, 2 & a girl,3. They know most of the lines in the 'Madagascar' films and 'Despicable Me', as well as others, because they watch them everyday. One of my little cousins has her own tablet. Both she and my male 3 yr old cousin can find the games on anybody's cellphone. Both have their own DVD players that they load and operate themselves. . My little cousin (the girl) can also open my Blu Ray player without the remote. I have yet to find the open button. The thing is one long panel with no buttons. Without the remote I can press all day and still not hit the part of the panel that opens it! This crap would not have entertained either one of them. Kids like a lot of talking, singing and dancing. Now when 'The Fresh Beat Band' puts a film out you're looking at big money. The good seats to one of their live shows this year was $100 a pop and there were no "kid prices". Their shows have been selling out since for the past 2 yrs.
