...bombed. Mankind in general and IMDB in particular. I am glad that majority of movie goers are intelligent enough to stay away from outrageously well marketed thrash. All is not lost!
I'll never again trust IMDB ratings & reviews.. I know I said that before
Well marketed? You kidding? The only reason I know about this movie is because Brad Jones (The Cinema Snob) mentioned it on Twitter and then he and his friends made a 45 minute review of it.
Not sure where you guys lived, but here in LA it was everywhere. Freeway billboards, buildings in Hollywood with long banners covering them up. Love him or hate him, but Kenn Viselman is a marketing genius.
"I think that silent films got a lot more things right than talkies." — Stanley Kubrick
Yeah, you sound like the type of person this film was catering to. I'll bet you were one of the few parents in the empty theater who actually paid to watch that crap, and you stood up and danced while your kids sat there bored. You are most definitely part of the problem here, so do us all a favor and go to Hell.
I had never heard of it until my daughter unfortunately found it on netflix. Then a piece of me died. And again and again each time it was rewatched adnauseum.
It also bombed because Toni Braxton ended up in this filth for no reason. I feel bad for her because her songs are awesome and you don't hear her character sing in this movie.
