The Sophia death timeline never really added up

Not only did she supposedly turn so fast but we never found out what happened to her.She had no threat around her when Rick left her either.

reply

How do you mean? If I remember correctly, the group believed she was bit in the ankle.

reply

Actually I believe the Sophia walker had a bite on the shoulder.

reply

She was lost in the woods by the stream. Then the group went to stay on Herschel's farm, and unknown to the group they were gathering up "walkers" and keeping them in the barn. Where is the not adding up part?

reply

I remember this controversy. The idea is that they went to the farm immediately when Carl was shot. Herschel didn't gather any walkers in front of them while they were there on the farm.

So, then how did Sophia get bit, turn, wander to the farm area, get wrangled, and get put into the barn? All in between the time Rick left her and Carl got shot?

reply

There was a lot of time there ... and they said that they hid that from Rick's group. She got bit, turned and then collected and put in the barn. Just saying it never seemed weird to me, but there is no percentage in questioning what already happened in the show. If it seems fake or I didn't like it I'd just stop watching ... but that is just me I guess.

I think the general consensus at the time was that Otis wrangled Sophia to the barn just before going hunting for the deer, when he shot Carl.

Seems to make sense.

I can't believe people are talking about this again. Is it coming from binge watchers who only recently discovered the show? Go check out Bosch on Amazon, Madison plays Titus Welliver's daughter - it'll remind you how much time has passed since she was Sophia.

We don't know how poor Sophia was bitten. It was on the back of the neck if I remember right, you could see the wound when she came staggering out of the barn. Maybe there was a walker half buried in the mud where Rick stashed her. Maybe she got nervous waiting for him and tried going back on her own, only to get ambushed from behind. Who knows? But she would've lost blood quickly from that bite, and even if it took her many hours to turn Otis would've had plenty of time to collect her before going on his deer hunt.
