The governor = Liam Neeson

Anyone thought the role was meant for him? It was as if the dude who played the governor in this movie was trying to look and sound like Liam Neeson even.

If the governor had been written to be like the actual governor I've heard about from the comics, then yes.

As written in the show, I'm not sure it would make a difference. I was so bored with the Governor story arc and imagined it could be so much more. Then I read about the Governor from the comics and thought that would have been much better.

On the old imdb boards, jriddle (anyone remember that guy?) used to refer to him as GINO *Governor In Name Only, because he was so different from his comic counterpart.

I thought that immediately. Liam Neeson would've made a fantastic governor. But I thought the actor who played him was also really good.

He's definitely a poor man's Liam Neeson.

edit. The character, not the actor. Props to the actor, he did a great job with what he was given.

Definitely, and not just his acting, but also subtle mannerisms as well. I'm actually prefer Morrisey over Neeson as the governor. Morrisey is more convincing as someone who is manipulative and evil
