So Father Gabriel loses his eye from an infection from Walker guts

And not a whole lot of Walker guts either, not even alot on his face, and he got really sick and ended up going blind in one eye. Yet Daryl's gonna be perfectly fine after wiping tons of blood and ooze all over his face in that last episode, its just funny how they made Walker guts seem very dangerous in that episode with Negan and Gabriel yet thats forgotten about a season or 2 later.
