"Nut-tapping" conversation......uncomfortable?

When Negan was describing "nut-tapping" to that young boy.
Did that seem like an awkward scene to anyone else? I mean...I get that Negan is often "inappropriate". But maybe the writers could have come up with a different youthful right of passage to discuss, like trading baseball cards?

reply

Yup. I found that scene pretty odd. I nearly thought Negan was going to lean in and demonstrate.

reply

i think that talking about dicks and nuts to kids is a gay seduction thing ... and that was out of context and inappropriate, not to mention stupid and revolting.

reply

Dude, I thought the same thing and was surprised no one was talking about this. A grown man talking to a kid about flicking nuts and avoiding the dick was just weird....to say the least. Also, the moment, Negan leans in with a flimsy hand as he's about to give a demonstration on how to do it.....I legit thought..."Is he going to put his hand near that kids crotch?"

reply

I agree, very uncomfortable to say the least. Of all the things that he could have been telling the kid about, why that? I have no clue why the writers chose to put that in, it was really inappropriate!

reply

All i hope to see come out of that conversation is that kid in the end punches Negan in the balls.

reply

Too late...the kid is dead.
Remember the fanatical psycho following Negan around?

reply

Yep that was definitely very awkward, if it were just a short mention in a list of other things it would be fine, but no need to go into details on it and especially mention dick as well lol, wtf were they thinking!?

reply

Writer is probably a pedo.

reply

> wtf were they thinking!?

It seems to me that they seem to be thinking hard trying to find what the magic recipe is to screw this show up until it is so bad and sick-o that no one cares about anymore

reply

I thought it was sick-o to the max. I never heard of anyone in my cohort or anyone else's who thought there was a game called but-tapping, and it is creepy and gay. It was creepy and I did not like it - mostly because what is it supposed to mean, and for things to mean anything in literature, or movies, they must be some kind of way shared experiences.
