Well this is going to be unpopular...

So here goes... I actually think the story writing has gotten better this season. Now hear me out, I'm not saying the story is good, just that there are a lot less cringe moments that don't make any sense. I actually noticed a slight uptick the season after Rick left, and this season seems better still.

I was skeptical, when they did the whole Judith is a bad A** first episode, but after that it wasn't bad writing. Now the story itself can use a little bit of juice, but I'm enjoying not having so many episodes that I turn it off shaking my head in disgust.

I still cant accept Judith being that good, she feels like a kiddie Mary Sue

Yep I'm right there with you. Luckily they toned it down a little bit. However, this last episode has me worried they might be bringing it back.

They are also still making the same mistakes with the kids as they always did, like in the opening scene, we saw her going up to a walker alone, she might be good with a blade now, but she sure as hell is not strong enough to push a walker away from her.

They also made her a Carl in the previous season, with her walking around alone out of the camp.

LMAO.MARY SUE..STUPID.

Not with me. You’re right, story is much better and tighter. Kang is doing a great job heading this show especially in its 10th year. It’s still interesting after a few bad seasons. Most shows don’t last five years

The writing is definitely better than seasons 7 and 8. The problem now is that the story just doesn't call for 16 episodes.
