Crap- no sense of the end of humanity

Great for gangs to shoot guns, but it's almost comical how slow the 'zombies' are.

And in the first two series- no matter how hardened later they all are to the apocalypse- discuss how Governments might have survived, and might be looking for pockets of people.
No sense of human character strain or depression. Loss of loved ones from the outbreak/s.

Or radio attempts to find pockets of ''survivors'' in other countries (a novel concept for Americans)?

Dawn of the Dead (Snyder) remake was marginally better but came up with the sense apocalypse on personal scales.
