Carol and Daryl

These time jumps are driving me crazy. How much time has passed between the last episode and this one that Carol has abandoned Ezekial for Daryl? It's confusing especially since they indicated that Michonne and Daryl had been a couple at one time and RJ may actually be his.

To the best of my interpretation, it is not that Carol is with Daryl, they are just friends. The problem is that she lost Henry in a brutal way, another of her children and she opened up and believed the fantasy and now she cannot see the King without feeling like shit. At least that is what I'm thinking ... I just finished watching that last episode.

reply

That's a possibility too. Thanx.

That's basically what she said in talking dead. She had the fairy tale for 6+ years and it ended with Henry. She feels like she wants to isolate herself again, but she knows she needs to be with her friends.

Then why does she want to go to Alexandria where Lydia (another reminder of Henry) will be with Daryl?

reply

The King will not be there. And she realizes that Lydia did not kill Henry, but also Daryl likes her.

Daryl was never interested in Carol romantically.

There was a time she was really hitting on him - he never responded in kind or took advantage.

Ezekial said just a few months has passed(also remember at the start of the previous episode they was preparing for winter coming)
Carol has not abandoned him for Daryl either, she just didn't want the constant reminder of Henry.

When was it suggested Michonne and Daryl got together?
The closeness between her and Daryl is due to story in the previous episode where they where branded and killed children together, thats how i see it anyway.

She got pregnant just before Rick died and called her bay RJ(Rick Junior)

reply

I know the baby is RJ (Rick Jr.) but she said something about Daryl doing something after Rick left and then held her belly. I read it as a hint. Also the baby is about 2 - 4 years old and Rick has been gone for six judging by Judith. Maybe I'm just putting two & two together and getting five.
