What do you think of so many characters suddenly disappearing?

They are part of the show and then *poof* they are not.
For example, Maggie is one of the main characters for many seasons and then suddenly she's not there. They just mention her going off to do something. I can't even recall what they said.

Dwight was a regular, he was a mole working with Rick and the crew against Negan. Negan is defeated and captured and *poof* no more Dwight. He is just off roaming trying to find his wife I suppose (why I have no idea).

Jadis. She was a main character and her role was growing and then *poof* she joins the helicopter people and flies off. Ok, who are they? Where is she going? What?

Three regular characters who just sort of disappear without any explanation (Maggie) or some very vague quest (Dwight is looking for the wife who disappeared first herself and Jadis is with the helicopter people in which they've popped in with a random helicopter for years and have yet to give any story to that. I guess if you watch for 15 seasons they may finally reward the audience with some story as to who they are)

They did the same thing with Morgan and after 4-5 seasons he suddenly turns up again. I suppose in 3-4 seasons one of these characters might just pop up again.

Maggie will pop up again if that new spy show she is in doesn't last long.

Do you pay attention when you watch this show? Not trying to be funny but the information was there in the show.
Daryl exiled Dwight. He let Dwight live as long as he disappeared, so he left, probably to find his wife.
Maggie met that woman from a society called the Commonwealth. The 5th episode of season 9 revealed Maggie left with her.
The Rick situation is to be addressed in possibly a Walking Dead movie. Though this information isn't in the actual show.

Seems like a vote of no-confidence in the direction of the show by the major stars.

I thought Dwight's wife was dead?

You never know what to think with disappearance of characters on this show.
Remember how they left everyone with the idea that Glenn was dead under
the pile of walkers at the dumpster, and then a few episodes later he was coming
back?

Morgan too. I don't know what they will do, but I'm guessing, or hoping that Maggie's thread will pop up in the beginning of an upcoming show and give us an idea of what those folks with the books and records are doing ... maybe trying to jump-start up Amazon.Com or Sears.

I read Dwight is crossing over to Fear.

All the characters from the TWD should go to Fear and vice versa, it would be groundbreaking. 😜

He's such a minor character, who cares. He went over the bridge and died. Done.

I think this season they had a huge budget cut and that’s why they got rid of Carl, Maggie wanted equal pay and they refused so she left, Morgan is another big pay check and was a straight replacement for Madison in terms of pay so more savings for TWD. I mean, One of the new cast members is paid in biscuits and tinned meat.
