(spoilers)So what does anyone think about Rick's upcoming
death?.
Rick is going to die in the next episode and that will be that.
No more Rick.

First of all...how does anyone think he will actually die?
At the end of the last episode he'd been thrown and impaled and surrounded by converging walkers.
Is that how it all will end?

I think they're going to make us believe he gets free and rides the horse into an hour long hallucination that revisits his past as he lies dying.

I'd hate to see him devoured so I at least hope he gets free and is swept away in that river or something..
Some people have speculated that he may be saved by a helicopter and whisked away.
Personally I would like this although other people seem to want the closure of his certain death.
Not me. I would be good with ambiguity rather than him being a walker meal.
He deserves better.
Thoughts?

I believe he would die from losing too much blood as the trailer shown that he is still herding on the horse with his wound untreated.

reply

I'd be good with that...much better than being a happy meal.

I'm not sure. I just hope we see him actually die. I'm wondering if they will have it done off screen and have one of those open ended "did he or didn't he?" type of situations.

reply

Not for Rick, maybe for Maggie

reply

New info that appears to be confirmed..do not read if you don't want to know..
Rick will appear to be rescued via Jadis and the helicopter...but it will be open ended.
reply

Ugh. That's what I thought. Thanks for sharing.

Why is he dying? He's literally what keeps the show going to an extent. He shows a hell of a lot of emotion. I guess they got tired of the white man leading.

While you're probably right, it's pretty well known Andrew Lincoln was VERY displeased with the decision to kill off Carl last season.

plus you always hear the cast complaining about the heat in Atlanta.....maybe he's just tired of being dirty and sweaty.

I don't really know anyone else that's left interesting besides Daryl. I mean they pretty much killed off most of the old original cast. I may even stop watching after he dies, not right away of course. Carol has been there for some time as well but I didn't find her interesting.

Have you seen the episode yet?

reply

Not yet, it's in the backlog atm. Need to watch Simpson then Last Ship then some episodes of Titan before getting to Walking Dead. Will watch asap.

Update:
Mmm, maybe I will watch it right now and get it over with.

reply

Do that. The way people are talking about they will ruin it for you.

reply

Haha, spoilers don't really ruin the show for me and I'm smart enough (unlike others) not to read the forums until I have watched the ep if it's already been released. That said, I am halfway through it already and I think they filmed this way beforehand. Flashback of Hershel whose actor Scott Wilson is already dead in real life. The hilarious part is, the slower Rick walks, the slower the zombies gain on him. XD

reply

The news of Rick's death was greatly exaggerated.
