I mean wouldn't it be better if they kept it quiet and shocked everyone with his death in season 9? Now everyone knows its gonna happen, and this is by far the biggest death of the entire show, why did they practically spoil it by announcing it to the world that he's leaving the show?
Or even if he doesn't die and he just leaves like Morgan why spoil that? Why say anything?
A. I think that's a hard secret to keep under wraps.
B. They're definitely trying to get all the fans that stopped watching to tune back in to see Rick's farewell.
(and it's gonna work! I stopped watching a couple years ago but I wanna see what they do.)
shareNo, to me it seems like a fairly easy secret to keep under wraps, Andrew Lincoln tells the show runners and they keep it secret, why would it be so hard to keep it secret? No one knew Frank Dillane was wanting to leave Fear the Walking Dead last season, then they shocked everyone with his death this season and THEN revealed he had told them he wanted to leave, they manged to keep that secret.
