i don't think it was stale at all. but they started the show, knowing the ending. as much as i would have loved this series to continue a long time... (i think they could have done a trouble of the week for many seasons), once the troubles were gone, there was nothing to have a show about. it would have been either a police show, or just a show about a town... doing.. what? i wish Paige would have kept all of Audrey's memories, i know that's against the rules, but i have no doubt she would have remembered soon.

Loved this show too until this last season. Complete rubbish.

There was no where to go. They probably got tired of finding reasons to kill off every woman on the show except Audrey. Or maybe tired of writing the most unconvincing love story of all time. The best character was gone. Where would they go with the story? It was just be the same thing over and over again.

I think the show was brilliant from start to finish.

I would love a Season 6 and 7 too 'cause I think there were more things they could have done with the characters and a lot of the show felt rushed to me especially in the earlier seasons but I just don't see it happening at this point just like I don't see 'Fringe' ever coming back either.
