Another missed opportunity for realism

with the rifle impact/firing sound delay - bullet impact, THEN you hear the report of the rifle.

It would have been a nice touch to an otherwise run-of-the-mill movie.

I've only seen one other movie actually do it, I can't remember the name but it was a US family-revenge story.
