Rob (Dougray Scott), a widowed chef, is inspired to cook, live and love again when he meets Kate (Claire Forlani), an American food critic. Rob moves into a country pub with his young daughter, Michelle. Kate’s father, Max, hates change, and landowner James is after Kate. As the village learns to accept Rob and his food, and Kate’s relationship with him develops, Max and James conspire to shut him down.
