But im not going to watch the series. Once I saw that Stephen Curry is going to be Sam Pickles it turned me right off. I dont want my visions of the book to be ruined by picturing his ugly head as Sam. Rose seems to have been well cast though.

I've attempted top read the book 7 times because I feel it's a 'must-read' Australian book but I just have never been able to finish it.

I do like the rest of Winton's books but this one .... :(
