science?


I see these "science" shows every once in a while. And they usually seem very hokey. There's some truth in it. But I think there's also a bunch of crap. The visuals they put together don't seem to back up the talking some of the time.

For example, just now I hear them say that a planetary collision "pulverizes" one side of the planet. But the visual shows a complete disk.

Another thing is the kind of comments they make: "The result of a supernova makes Hell seem like a walk in the park." That's not the exact words, but catches the meaning. What kind of scientific statement is that!?

... and the rocks it pummels.
