PG comedy, delivers good messages
I would label that comedy as a family comedy. It has no foul language, good overall messages (don’t do hard drugs, weed is alright). The comedic part was somewhat flat because the jokes were somewhat old fashioned and simple. It could have been spiced up a bit in creating a more laughable experience.
The message of the movie was strong, teaches us to respect each other’s cultures and learn from one another. Immigration is the key issue of the 21st century. If we take the time to learn from other cultures and one another we will grow to be a better society. Creating a united global community that can fight those who want to divide it through - right wing separatism, terrorism, immigrant-phobias, etc.
